World Doula Week 2018 Kickoff With GALS!

Happy World Doula Week, Y'all!

In my third year of celebrating this week, I have to honor the reason why I jumped in to this work wholeheartedly and that's because of Giving Austin Labor Support.

GALS was the subject of one of my first blog posts where I found the value of doula work by being doula'd through an extremely embarrassing experience.

GALS is a 501(3)(c) non-profit local to Austin and our surrounding communities. We are a collective of volunteers birth support companions who strongly believe that no birthing person should be under-supported during their birth experience.

It's a beautiful mission, and with hundreds of families served in the past 10 years, we're celebrating GALS this Saturday, March 24th, at the Paramount Theater with a screening of The Business of Being Born! Tickets are available here.
